Want To Meet Obama? Better Show Your Papers!

So, the same bunch that gets their collective thongs in a wad over Arizona following federal law by requiring those who are questioned by police to show their papers (you know, like you have to show your license, registration and insurance when a cop pulls you over) are now in East Germany 1957 Mode when it comes to simply shaking hands with Obama.

From MLive.coml (Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin)

The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.

Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.

Funny isn’t it? You are not required to present a photo ID to cast a vote for the man and place him in the most important job in the world. But just to shake his hand, you better hand over every piece of paper that sits in your closet shoebox. (And maybe your first-born as well, for good measure)

This also does not even begin to touch the illiterates that populate this administration. You know, those who have yet to actually read the Arizona bill?

As Doug Powers says:

I’ll give $10 toward the college fund of the first graduate who, when asked for his or her citizen status, replies “Him first” and sends the whole school into emergency Birther lockdown.

Indeed.

  1. If it weren’t so ironic it would be laughable…Can you imagine! Seniors do not realize they are the next expendable group in the HC Obamabill….and they are going to turn over every piece of ID to shake his hand? I cannot believe they could be so gullible! He knows he is losing the senior vote, and that is why he is making an appearance…

  2. Actually, these are high school seniors. Not people over 55.
