Nelson’s Fan Dance Ends: Bends Over for Pork and ObamaCare

We have this seen Texas Two step 1,000 times before and like the end of an episode of Star Trek: Voyager, you can predict the ending even if you are out of the room with the dishwasher running full tilt.

Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) has, as expected, “caved” on being the lone Democrat holdout on ObamaCare. It now appears that the mentally disabled Senate Leader, Harry “Where is my Zoloft?” Reid now has the 60 votes in order to get this Genocidal bill to the Senate floor.

9:53am Eastern. Nelson caved. The Senate clerk is now reading the Reid amendment….the full, 383-page amendment is here…Democratic caucus is meeting off the floor. Nelson to speak at 10am Eastern. Dem leadership to crow at 10:45am Eastern….Nelson announces support at press conference. Says he is satisfied by abortion language. He reads a perfunctory statement praising Reid and White House, then says with the most passion in his voice: “I reserve the right to vote against the next cloture vote if there are material changes” made in conference.

This is the worst of Washington. Payoffs, lies, deceit, and deception. Oddly enough, I’ve come to have more respect for the left-wing advocates of single-payer than the so-called moderates who will sell their principles for money. At least the left-wing has principles, even if I disagree with those principles. The moderates like Nelson and Landrieu have no principles, at least none that cannot be sold.

Where is Evan Bayh? His silence has been deafening.

Well, I have ZERO respect for the left-wing advocates of single-payer or the Left in general. However, they DO have a goal, as evil as it is. Which is more than you can say about the Senate Streetwalkers like Nelson, Bayh and Mary Landfill. Those whores have more Political STD’s then a roomful of Thai Hookers standing outside the Clinton Library.

Commenter Toaster put it correctly, and in just the same way as I have been advocating for a long time:

I will not take years to undo. It will take a backlash of anger from middle America and the election of people committed to restoring the Republic. Then, after the bums lose their office, the trials can start. demo-rat or “republican”, those who sought to damage this country will pay. They want to put Bush and his policies of trial, so they opened the door for it.

Want to win in 2010/12? run on one issue, restoring the rule of Constitutional law. That means the dismantling of government worker unions, removing activist judges and scaling back the federal machine to what it really takes to make the trains run on time.

Pie-in-the-sky? Maybe. But why not Aim High?!

Indeed. The Left has been aiming “high” for the past 80 years on this and 1,000 other policies. No reason for Congress not to be cleaned out thoroughly and start printing out those DOJ and FBI arrest warrants and have the new Congress start a massive crackdown on this administration, the Dem leadership and all of their Soros-backed criminal front groups.
