Exactly Dave.

The states have, for far too long, taken money, willy-nilly, from the government, in exchange for reciprocity on some thing or policy.

This “monster” has grown completely out of control, until finally we find ourselves where we are today, about to teeter off the cliff, where we stop being America, and start being something closer to the U.K.

The founders are turning over in their graves.
I just hope those in Washington can feel the rumble.

Talismen: Think of the Pandora’s box that will be opened if health care is considered a “right”. The first time someone is denied anything, as miniscule as it may seem must be seen as violating that person’s constitutional rights under color of law. In my state that’s a five year felony.

We must also remember that this issue should be legally challenged on two fronts, the first being the “Slaughter” issue, and the 2nd being that the United States government cannot, within the bounds of the constitution, force citizens to purchase a product or service that they do not want or need.

I believe that although the “jockeying” might be forgotten to some extent, the sheer cowardice, arrogance of assuming voters are plain stupid, and the squandering of our children’s future for their own personal gain will be seered into the memories of all of us. The realization that there is no such thing as a “moderate” Democrat in the world of the Beltway elites will also be a consideration at the voting booth. “Wishy Washy” Democrat-light Republicans that still believe government is the answer will feel the sting in November as well.
