Verrrry Interrrrresting…Obama’s BLS Donors

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | October 5th, 2012

Well, well, well.

I am “shocked”.

“SHOCKED”, I tell you.

I was maybe going to be post a long-overdue Friday Fun story today, but with the debate debacle and now the Sesame Street numbers coming out of the BLS today, it seems like this week’s events have pretty much written themselves for me.

Having truth being stranger than fiction can sometimes be a God-send.

From Free Beacon:

At least two economists at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) have contributed to President Barack Obama’s campaign. Harley Frazis of Bethesda, MD, has contributed at least $2,000 to Obama and $9,000 to the Democratic National Committee over the last three election cycles

The 7.8% BLS number trotted out today is about as laughable as Roseanne winning the White House. But even less believable.

Obama Dept. of Labor Seeks To Delay Pink Slips To Federally Contracted Companies Until After Election

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | July 31st, 2012

Oops!

It seems like there was a bit of a kink in the Obama Campaign’s 2012 Road To Nowhere. Or Forward. Or whatever it is being called this week.

It seems like they wanted to make sure that the many thousands of layoffs that are going to occur due to federal contracts being canceled and the like, were not issued a mere five days before the election

From CNSNews.com:

(CNSNews.com) – President Obama is trying to prevent thousands of layoff notices from going out a few days before the November election, Sen. Jame Inhofe (R-Okla.) said on Tuesday.

Obama’s Labor Department on Monday issued “guidance” to the states, telling them that a federal law requiring advance notice of mass layoffs does not apply to the layoffs that may occur in January as a result of automatic budget cuts known as “sequestration.”

Inhofe, appearing on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning, said President Obama, through his Labor Department, “is trying to intimidate businesses, companies, corporations — not just defense contractors — into not issuing the pink slips,” which are required by federal law 60 days before mass layoffs or plant closings.

“(T)he president doesn’t really want all these pink slips going out five days before the election,” Inhofe said.

While the WARN Act requires that workers who are scheduled to be laid off from companies that have contracts with the federal government, are to be notified no later than 60 days before the contract runs out or is canceled, the Department of Labor is singing a different tune.

But in guidance issued on Monday, Assistant Labor Secretary Jane Oates said never mind about those pink slips:

“Questions have recently been raised as to whether the WARN Act requires Federal contractors…whose contracts may be terminated or reduced in the event of sequestration on January 2, 2013, to provide WARN Act notices 60 days before that date to their workers employed under government contracts funded from sequestrable accounts. The answer to this question is ‘no.’ In fact, to provide such notice would be inconsistent with the purpose of the WARN Act.”

Of course, as Inhofe pointed out, big contractors like Lockheed-Martin could face severe fines if they do not issue said pink slips according the WARN Act’s guidelines.

Nothing like playing politics with thousands of American jobs, just to cover up the fact that we are in the worst jobs and unemployment situation since the Great Depression.

Here is The Money For Extending Unemployment Benefits

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | December 2nd, 2010

Ok, NOW we have found the funds to extend unemployment benefits for those still out of work due to the Obama/Reid/Pelosi Greatest Depression.

From NewsMax:

A government investigator says nearly 50,000 prison inmates claimed more than $130 million in tax refunds this year without providing any wage information to the IRS.

(snip)

The report noted that the IRS identified nearly 250,000 fraudulent tax returns during the 2010 filing season — a 50 percent increase over 2009 — preventing $1.48 billion in fraudulent refunds.

Now you Dems, who are intentionally holding up the extension, you ridiculous RINOs, led by the useless boil on an ass, Scott Brown, who are caterwauling about “adding to the deficit”, PASS THE GODDAMN EXTENSION.

We have a freaking $4 trillion budget, along with trillions in national income snuck out of the country and larded onto foreign banks, but you cannot “find” $56 million to those who are staring homelessness, no money for food, no money for heating this winter and the like, right in the face. And at Christmastime of all times. It is literally criminal of all of you.

To hell with “adding to the deficit”. Get serious and help these people and worry about TRULY cutting the deficit by repealing MengeleCare, proposing an IMMEDIATE (and real, not a baselined) 10% reduction in ALL government sectors. After that, you then better start working on eliminating a slew of agencies. Like the EPA, OSHA, the Department of Energy, the Department of Education and the NEA. Just for starters.

And since the IRS is obviously so incompetent, (I have personal experience with that myself), maybe it would be a good idea to make a serious push for the Fair Tax and start the process of getting the 16th amendment repealed and have the IRS be abolished forever. Instead of hiring 16,500 new agents to implement MengeleCare.

You people make me sick.
