The more things change, the more they stay the same….
Amazing how what he says here applies even more so today. Especially when talking energy, politicians and corporations. Then again, politicians are and will always be themselves.

Well, sometimes things even catch up to Tin-Plated Dictators with Delusions of Godhood. Especially when he is partying like it is 1797 in France while cube steak is making a comeback faster than Elvis sideburns.
While Obama and his cadre of bottom-feeders continue to party hearty on the American taxpayer’s dime, his polling numbers are sinking at about the same rate the stock market he keeps talking down is.
From Rasmussen Reports:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 39% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-one percent (31%) Strongly Disapprove to give Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +8
It continues…
Voters are evenly divided in their reaction to President Obama’s proposed budget. However, 75% are concerned that it will lead to too much government spending. Review other key polls from the past week to see “What They Told Us.”
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter.
Overall, 56% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far while 43% disapprove. For more measures, see Obama By the Numbers.
Investor confidence has fallen to a new all-time low as expectations of future economic performance continue to decline.
A better look at the numbers:
Note the disapproval rating doubling in just over a month. Even a Messiah has to get a little worried when his menu that consists of things that real Americans have never even heard of (e.g. wagyu steak and argulua) starts to help tank his precious poll numbers.
As for integrity, would you buy a house from this guy? Hell, even a car or TV? The man is a Typhoid Mary when it comes to anything of economic gain. And it looks like even some of the drones are setting to get it.

Newsmax is reporting that former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer will not be facing criminal charges in his much publicized involvement in a prostitution ring that forced his resignation last March.
NEW YORK — Federal prosecutors announced today that they will not bring criminal charges against Eliot Spitzer for his role in a prostitution scandal, removing a legal cloud that has surrounded the former governor since his epic downfall eight months ago.
Manhattan U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia said that investigators found no evidence that Spitzer or his office misused public or campaign funds for prostitution. Federal prosecutors typically do not prosecute clients of prostitution rings.
“In light of the policy of the Department of Justice with respect to prostitution offenses and the longstanding practice of this Office, as well as Mr. Spitzer’s acceptance of responsibility for his conduct, we have concluded that the public interest would not be further advanced by filing criminal charges in this matter.”
A remorseful Spitzer issued a statement in which he expressed relief that he will not face charges.
“I appreciate the impartiality and thoroughness of the investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and I acknowledge and accept responsibility for the conduct it disclosed. I resigned my position as Governor because I recognized that conduct was unworthy of an elected official. I once again apologize for my actions,” Spitzer said.
Spitzer was out of town and unavailable for further comment.
Cannot say that I am too surprised. Just chalk up another Dem sex scandal to “Move along. Nothing to see here.”
