Breaking over at Breitbart.com.

Stimulus “Rescue” – Senate Keystone Cops on the Job

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 29th, 2009

Well, it probably was too good to last. After the courageous and surprisingly unanimous GOP “NO” vote on the Taxpayer Extortion Act, it looks like the Political Jock Itch has returned to it’s home base. That being more useless than Helen Thomas pitching ProActiv. The chamber of the U.S. Senate. (Hat Tip: Michelle Maklin)

You know, these “moderate” types are like the seaweed monsters in the movie, “Horror at Party Beach” who went on a panty raid/rampage during a girl’s slumber party. Like Mike and the Bots said, no matter what species a creature is, they will still have the urge to panty raid. Only in this case, it is this country’s wealth and the wealth of the next two generations that are being raided. Like a coke addict with a wallet-full of stolen money, they are sucking this country’s economy right up their Stalinist noses.

So, in predictable fashion, Sen. Ben Nelson, (D)-NE is trying conjure up support for a new “Gang of 14 (Jackasses)” in order to “rescue” the “unacceptable parts” of this train wreck of a bill.

From FOXNews:

Senate Republicans and some Democrats aren’t happy that the $819 billion economic stimulus bill that the House passed Wednesday contains billions of dollars for programs that arguably won’t spark much job growth.

As a result, one moderate Democrat is looking to bring some of his colleagues together, as was done in the past on the issues of judicial appointments and energy policy, to find some common ground on how the stimulus bill might be improved, Fox has learned.

Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who famously gathered Republicans and Democrats in a so-called “Gang of 14″ to avert a shutdown of the Senate over judicial nominations, is aiming for similar bipartisanship in the stimulus debate. Nelson told FOX News he has invited a group to his office Friday to see if more can be done to create jobs in the stimulus bill — such as a major boost in funding for infrastructure projects, which appeal to many of his colleagues.

“We need to focus this on getting people back to work quickly,” Nelson said.

The “Gang of 14″ compromise in 2006 displeased many conservatives. Republicans controlled both houses of Congress at the time, and those involved in the compromise group agreed to take some of the party’s power options off the table in exchange for Democratic promises not to filibuster Bush’s judicial nominees except under “extreme circumstances.”

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, a moderate who was a member of the original “Gang” and a close friend of Nelson’s from their time on the Senate Armed Services Committee, got an invite, as has Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., Nelson’s energy compromise group colleague.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-ME

That must have been a misprint. She is no true Republican. She and Snowe have been the Dem’s long-term, cheap voter-hookers for years, walking the streets of the Senate, ready to drop political dress at the drop of a hat. And their pimp is McCain.

But than again, I expect nothing better from party traitors looking to dig their way into Crap Sandwich Two and digesting what they can for themselves and their liberal supporters.

“We need to focus this on getting people back to work quickly,” Nelson said.

The best way for that to happen would be for Nelson and all of his Demitburo criminals to immediately resign and promise to stay 3,000 miles away from DC for the next 3,000 bleems.

As for “infrastructure”, that is just code for laying millions on adding the brightest and shiniest toys to a government or campaign contributor’s building. For anyone who has ever driven in DC itself, it is not called the Pothole Capital for nothing. You would think after about 50 years of this “infrastructure” spending would have had those potholes filled years ago. Then again, we are crossing a) federal spending and oversight with b) the DC city government. Incompetence on the level of the Obama Cabinet.

It only took 7 years, 4 months and 21 days but…al qaeda has won

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 22nd, 2009

Yes, you read that title correctly.

Yesterday, newly sworn-in President Barack Obama put a halt to existing and future Gitmo trials for all prisoners held there, until his administration has a chance to look over the cases. And then, going a step further, he signed an executive order to close the prison at Gitmo within 1 year’s time.

Within 24 hours, 9/11 families were outraged by Obama’s actions and understandably so.

What does this all mean for the future of our security?
Well, there’s not a whole lot of thought that needs to be put into this….It simply means we’re back where we started, September 10th 2001. There is no substantive deterrant to attacking the United States, due to these actions taken by Obama. Terrorists now know they will more than likely be tried in courts of law, inside the very country they wish to destroy, with rights afforded to them that they do not want nor deserve. This does not phase them, nor does it stop them.

This also means that Obama has, by default, gutted the foundations of reason for sending our troops into harms way in order to “preserve, protect, and defend”, in a time when islamic terrorism has reached a fevered pitch. He has laid waste to the premise that if anyone dares attack our country, they will be dealt with in a substantive fashion, in the harshest terms available.

A country that does not value or protect its sovereignty, will suffer it’s loss.

This move sends signals all over the world, indicating that the United States has lost her resolve.

I’ve been calling this behavior “The Death Of Resolve” for quite some time now, so this doesn’t necessarily shock me. It does, however, make me more fearful for my country than I have ever been.

So, to sum up:

The planes never crashed….
The lives were never lost….
The buildings remain intact and standing.

And the threat is still real, still active, and still coming.

Only now, we are willfully ignoring it, in the hopes that being nice to our enemies will stop them.

When that works, will someone wake me up?

Mrs. Biden: Joe Should Be Number Two (How fitting)

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 19th, 2009

I suppose we all needed a laugh today, seeing that tomorrow sort of reminds me of the scene at the end of “Revenge of the Sith” when Darth Vader puts on his black helmet and assumes total control of the Empire. (Not to mention that theme music) Well, there is a little mirth out there at least for now and it came from of all places, Oprah’s show. (Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin) Who knew?

Appearing on Oprah were Mrs. Biden and her Romulan husband. While they are not related by blood, it would seem that there is a recessive airborne gene/virus in anyone who hangs Biden too long, since it appears that Mrs. Biden is not immune from her husband’s legendary Foot-in-Mouth Disease.

When asked about how the decision process for Vice-President went, Mrs. Romulan had this slip of tongue:

During the taping of the Oprah Winfrey show today, Dr. Jill Biden said that her husband, the vice president-elect, was given a choice of being either vice president or secretary of State.

This revelation came after Vice President-elect Joe Biden told Oprah that after then-Sen. Obama offered the job of VP he asked for some time to think about it and talk it over with his family.

Mrs. Biden interjected: “Joe had the choice of being secretary of State or vice president.” She then seemed to realize she’d said something she wasn’t supposed to have said.

Her husband laughed.

Said Oprah, trying to continue the conversation, “You said, ‘Joe…?’”

“I said, ‘Joe if you are secretary of State you will be away, I’ll never see you,’” Mrs. Biden said. “We will see you at a state dinner once in a while. But I said if you are vice president, the entire family, because they worked so hard for the election, they can be involved … They can come to our home, they can go to events, they can be with us and that is what is important to us.”

Oprah turned to the VP-elect, asking “Were you worried about being number 2 because you wanted to be number one?”

Well, all I know is that if I were Biden I would want my SS detail quadrupled. I think that sound I just heard was a Tiffany lamp going THUD against the wall and the sound of a large pair of shears being sharpened.

Schlocknauguration and the Return of Kristallnacht?

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 18th, 2009

Sometimes you have to just shake yourself and convince yourself that you just are not dreaming. That no matter how crazy, insane and surreal things have become, that it is real and not a bad Twilight Zone episode.

Falling into that category are the Obama Schlocknauguration (Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin) and the Kristallnacht-Lite (for now) that appears to be happening in that bastion of tolerance, Germany.

First off, the Obama Flag. Not only is this direct violation of the US Flag Code, but is a vile insult to many Americans. Including those who did not vote for and want to have no part of The Obama Cult and especially to the millions of military veterans, living and dead who served their country and flag proudly and in many cases paid the ultimate price for it.

To have such a revered symbol profaned for some cheap, schlotzy and bumbling personality is truly sickening. With Obama’s visage appearing on coins, Metro Cards and with seemingly every network and cable channel advertising for one cheap trinket after another, I am awaiting erection of 500,000 giant-sized, Mao-like Obama billboards to start popping up in schools, government buildings and roadsides like pimples on a 13 year old’s face.

On the flip of this sick Cult of Personality is the German government getting in some early Kristallnacht practice. Gateway Pundit reports via The Jerusalem Post:

During an anti-Israeli demonstration organized by the radical Islamic group, Milli Görüs, which attracted 10,000 protesters last Saturday in Duisburg, two police officers stormed the apartment of a 25-year-old student and his 26-year-old girlfriend and seized Israeli flags hanging on the balcony and inside a window.

The pro-Hamas protesters cheered “Alluha Akbar” as the German police ripped the Israeli flag out of the window.

…When asked if the Duisburg police plan to confiscate Israeli flags from supporters who demonstrate against an anti-Israeli protest slated for this coming Saturday, Ramon van der Maat, a Duisburg police spokesman, told The Jerusalem Post that, “we have to see what is expected” at the protest, adding, “It depends on the situation and one cannot, across the board” say that Israeli flags will be permitted.

I assume that machetes are being sharpened and the gas ovens Easy-Offed and being heated up. The only difference this time will be that those that run the camps will not be wearing Nazi arm patches, but turbans.

Ed Driscoll over at over at EdDriscoll.com says they are partying like it’s 1942…

Can this be too far behind?

God help us all.

Michael Moore Beached. Faces Lawsuit For Infrignement

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 15th, 2009

Well, well, well now. It seems that the Waffle House’s favorite all-you-can-eat buffet customer and professional dumpster-diver, Michael Moore is facing a potential lawsuit. (Hat Tip: HotAir.com)

Michael Yon, an independent photographer and Special Forces vet who has taken some of the most memorable images over the years from the Iraq War, has decided to file a lawsuit over Moore’s use of one of his most memorable images. That of an American soldier carrying an injured and bloody Iraqi child.

From The NY Post:

MICHAEL Moore may wind up in court with a prize-winning journalist who claims the mountain-size moviemaker ripped off his most famous photo to use in a George W. Bush-bashing rant.

Last year, to illustrate one of his anti-administration bombasts, the portly polemicist posted on his michaelmoore.com Web site a heartbreaking photo from Iraq of an American soldier carrying the blood-spattered body of a child. The picture was snapped by acclaimed independent war correspondent Michael Yon, who has been very careful about how his images are distributed and goes out of his way to make sure they aren’t used for demagogic diatribes.

Yon – a Special Forces vet who posts regular dispatches from the front at michaelyon-online.com – is considered by many as the “Ernie Pyle of our time.”

Yon has tried to contact Moore for seven months to discuss his unauthorized use of the poignant snap, but hasn’t heard a word back from the director of “Fahrenheit 9/11.” Now, the fed-up photojournalist has told his lawyer to ready a lawsuit against Moore for copyright infringement.

Yon also has written at his site about this situation:

We have not yet filed in court, but will very soon if Mr. Moore does not settle the matter immediately. The court paperwork takes time, though my attorney informed me that Mr. Moore’s attorney, after seven months of delay, called us late yesterday. Michael Moore’s attorney and mine, Mr. John Mason, are playing phone tag today.

You can bet dollars to doughnuts that a phalanx of lawyers are lining to up represent Yon in this case. Heck, just putting a 10% dent into Moore’s midnight snack budget could feed billions for millenia.

As for Moore, I cannot help but wonder if he was invited to Obama’s Witch Doctor ceremony on the 20th. If he was, I am sure will be kept behind a barbed wire fence so as to keep him as far away from the food trays as possible. While I will not be watching the spectacle on the 20th, if they could somehow put together a steel cage match that featured a 20lb steak, 10 feet off of the center of the ring and had Moore, Rosie O’Donnell, Roseanne and Oprah on the card, THAT would get my PPV money.

A Trend? Obama Supporters Flooding Conservative Sites?

Posted by NosferatusCoffin | January 14th, 2009

I read a lot of blogs and sites. A LOT. Not too surprisingly, most of them are conservative in nature. While I have been by the cesspools at DU, Daily Kos etc over the years, I always feel like I need a pound of Lava soap after visiting such places, so they get little action from me. Besides, if I want to hear Dem/Leftist/Obama Talking Points, I can always go to the less profanity-and-mental-illness-laced sites such as the New York Times, The Washington Post, Time, Newsweek and hear the chorus of the “Mantra Word of the Day” that they all repeat like Michael Moore’s stomach after a bean and cabbage dinner.

However, just very recently I have noticed a definite trend in the comments section of some of the blogs/sites that I frequent most everyday. And a trend I am seeing is a definite uptick in comments that either:

1) Support Obama and say, “Oh, just give him a chance” (Like Bush was ever given a chance even a month before he first took office). A lot of these comments are typed out using proper English and grammar. (A rarity nowadays, especially coming from liberal commenters) A good example of that would be from a recent Politico blog entry here.

or

2) The usual YTCT type. What is a YTCT, you may ask? It is a little acronym I made up awhile back that is short for You Tube Commenter Type. If you have ever spent 5 seconds on YouTube and then spent another 3 seconds going over the comments section below a video, you doubtless have seen the incoherent invective that is spouted there like kudzu on steroids. Mindless drivel typed out with grammar that would make a rap star blanch and spelling that would drive Mavis Beacon to suicide. The just-struggling-to-reach-double-digit IQ types that think the word “escargot” means a stolen car driven by an illegal.

A good example of that would be from a StopTheACLU.com post. About Dems and their whining when it comes to “stolen elections”. STAC usually will have about 5-10 comments per post, but this one had 65. I do not think it was a coincidence.

The above are just a couple of examples, as I do not want to list 100 links and bore the reader to tears reading over the same drivel over and over and over. I am just making a simple point and if you do a little research of your own, I feel you will come to the same conclusion. Or not.

While I am no Grassy-Knoll conspiracy nut, I also know that things like these do not happen randomly or out of the blue. Whether it is the Dinosaur Media repeating the same Talking Point Word over and over, covering for the Obama Permanent Campaign Team thoroughly by hiding or dismissing the long litany of charges and shady/criminal elements that have been by his side from Day One, the intimidation that was visited upon PACs and radio shows by Obamabots via flooding the phone banks or asking the DOJ to launch a probe to those who dare would produce a commercial that simply told the truth about the above mentioned questions of corruption or sleaze. Not to mention the embrace of the Fairness (read Censorship) Doctrine or a Zimbabwe-like “community” (read paramilitary) force that is in the Obama Stimulus Package etc etc, we are seeing an attempt at a fundamental societal change being brewed by those up high.

And I feel the comment-flooding is just one more arrow in their arsenal to quiet all dissent.
