Plot to Kill Obama: Shoot From High Vantage Point

DENVER (CBS4) -• CBS4 has now learned at least four people are under arrest in connection with a possible plot to kill Barack Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech in Denver. All are being held on either drug or weapons charges.

CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass reported one of the suspects told authorities they were “going to shoot Obama from a high vantage point using a … rifle -¦ sighted at 750 yards.”

Law enforcement sources tell Maass that one of the suspects “was directly asked if they had come to Denver to kill Obama. He responded in the affirmative.”

The story began emerging Sunday morning when Aurora police arrested 28-year-old Tharin Gartrell. He was driving a rented pickup truck in an erratic manner according to sources.

Sources told CBS4 police found two high-powered, scoped rifles in the car along with camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, a bulletproof vest, a spotting scope, licenses in the names of other people and methamphetamine. One of the rifles is listed as stolen from Kansas.

This looks a lot more serious then it did when first reported.

All I can say is Thank God that these creeps were caught before they were able to even get started on their plot. I shudder to think what would happen if any harm came to Obama or his family.

Not only that, but the fee for allowing the U.N. to play the -”middle man” in our global war on poverty would be a tax of .7 percent of the U.S. Gross National Product. That’s right. Barack Obama and his liberal allies such as Senator Biden have signed on to a bill that would allow the U.N. to tax America (and Americans) an estimated $845 billion over the next 13 years. Obama’s plan represents perhaps the greatest affront to our national sovereignty since the War of 1812.

The Global Poverty Act dismisses the American ideals of a free-market economy and responsible government for a global bureaucracy that has already lost tens of millions in development funds to corruption. The measure demands virtually no accountability or reform from the impoverished and often oppressive nations who are the recipients of our charitable largess. Furthermore, the United Nations Development Program has become the favorite -”rich uncle” of terrorist states and rogue regimes, accidentally funneling millions to North Korea’s illicit weapons programs and violating 95 U.S. export laws in the process.

Edwards also denied he was the father of Hunter’s baby girl, Frances Quinn, although the one-time Democratic Presidential candidate said he has not taken a paternity test.

Edwards said he knew he was not the father based on timing of the baby’s birth on February 27, 2008. He said his affair ended too soon for him to have been the father.

A former campaign aide, Andrew Young, has said he was the father of the child.

So he has not taken a paternity test, but is still sure he is not the baby’s father. Typical pass-the-buck liberal behavior.

Andrew Young??? No, not that one. (I would hope). You have to love how the Dem bigwigs literally “share the love” when it comes to affairs and other tawdry tidbits. (Think back to Teddy and Christopher “I’ve got a deal for you!” Dodd making waitress sandwiches in a Senate building 20 years ago. From the White House carpet to pimping women between a POTUS candidate and his aide, nothing is ever held sacred by Dems. Aside from winning re-election at all costs, that is.

Edwards made a point of telling Woodruff that his wife’s cancer was in remission when he began the affair with Hunter. Elizabeth Edwards has since been diagnosed with an incurable form of the disease.

So, because his wife’s cancer was remission, that made the affair more kosher? Sorry, that is like being “a little bit pregnant”. Doesn’t wash. What a schmuck.

When the National Enquirer first reported the alleged Edwards-Hunter affair last October 11, Edwards, his campaign staff and Hunter vociferously denounced the report.

“The story is false, it’s completely untrue, it’s ridiculous,” Edwards told reporters then.

He repeated his denials just two weeks ago.

“I did not have sex with that woman…” Yeah, when a Dem politician denies an affair, that is better money in the bank that he/she is lying than putting down 10 G-notes on Teddy K ’s next round of drinks.

Edwards denied paying any money to Hunter to keep her from going public but said it was possible some of his friends or supporters may have made payments without telling him.

Yeah, and I grew back all of my hair just last week.

A new left-wing organization that wants to help elect Barack Obama president is sending letters to nearly 10,000 major donors who contribute to Republican causes, threatening them with potential legal problems if they finance conservative groups.

The nonprofit organization, Accountable America, is even offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the criminal conviction or fines of at least $10,000 for violations of campaign finance laws or other statutes by a conservative group, according to The New York Times.

Accountable America is led by Tom Matzzie, former Washington director of the liberal activist group MoveOn.org, and its research director is Judd Legum, who served that role in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Matzzie called the organization’s effort -”going for the jugular.” He told The Times, “We want to stop the Swift Boating before it gets off the ground.”

And you don’t think that this country will not be turned into a Stasi state if The Zero is elected?

Now, will the FBI or any other government law enforcement agency pay a little visit to Mr. Matzzie’s office? Heh. That is about as likely as putting a steak in front of Rosie O’Donnell and telling her to sit.

We have seen a lot of radicals, a lot violent types and lot of mass intimidation coming from the OBurkha Cult over the last few months. This is just the latest example and just one more reason that this lying, corrupt, terror-loving Marxist bastard and bitch of a wife need to be kept thousands of miles from the Oval Office as possible.
